Shane is a dedicated, inspiring, and results-driven Coach, Trainer and Manager who has deep and rich knowledge of high level athletics and most specifically the sport of hockey that has been acquired through playing, coaching, and successfully maximizing the potential of others. His passion for the game of hockey, his avid participation in other health / fitness activities along with his added understanding and focus on strong mental health allow him to maintain an optimal balance in sport and life. This model is the same model he uses daily in his Managing, Coaching, Training and Mentoring.
From his experience as a player having earned the opportunity at a very early age through hard work, focus and commitment to play under Jack Bowkus on the LA Jr Kings Midget AAA-18U team as a 14 / 15 year old to time spent in the WHL, BCHL, AHL and Germany, Shane was ultimately rewarded by being selected by the New York Rangers in the 5th round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft as pick #134 overall.
This first-hand knowledge gained from growing up and competing successfully at a very high level in his chosen sport combined with his direct involvement in other programs (Los Angeles Jr. Kings, Las Vegas Thunderbirds, New Jersey Titans, California Patriots Hockey Club and RAD-Rapid Athlete Development among others) has provided a deep understanding of the requirements necessary to reach these levels allowing Shane to bring his insight to others seeking these same things through coaching, mentoring and this training program allowing him to convey this experience helping others reach their dreams of becoming elite athletes.
Not only has his commitment as a player and coach brought him great experience it has brought him many awards and invitations as well such as a 2008-09 WHL Championship, 2008-09 Memorial Cup participant, 2009-10 WHL Rookie of the year runner-up, Kelowna Rockets rookie of the year – 2nd in points behind NHL’s Tyson Barrie. Selected to the 2009-10 USA Hockey U17 National Team, 2011 CHL Top Prospects game selection, 2011 NHL Research and development camp, an invitation to the 2011-12 Lake Placid Work Junior Camp, 2012 Memorial cup participant with the Saskatoon Blades 2014-16 CIS scholarship to St. Thomas University and participation in the Los Angeles Kings 2016 Rookie Camp. In 2017, after winning a championship with the Tilburg Trappers in the German Oberliga Shane had one last tryout with the Los Angeles Kings organization and subsequently retired that summer.
Through this Shane has come to be known for integrity, commitment, exactness and the ability to produce measurable results.
